Inki Kim Welch was elected to the Rincon del Diablo Municipal Water District’s Board in November of 2020 as the Division V representative of Rincon Water’s Improvement District “1” and Improvement District “E”.
Born and raised in South Korea, Ms. Welch immigrated to the Unites States and became a citizen in 1974. Transitioning from Hawaii to San Diego in order to attend Point Loma Nazarene University, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/Accounting in 1980, followed by a Master of Business Administration degree in Financial Management from National University in 1983.
Ms. Welch has worked in the commercial finance arena from 1980 to 1993 managing commercial loan portfolios through financial, security, credit, market/industry analyses, and risk assessment/management that afford executive decisions on loan facilities and mergers/acquisitions.
Since 1994, Ms. Welch is the owner of a small business which offers consulting, selling/buying business opportunities, mortgage brokering, and property management services. She is commissioned as a Notary Public of the State of California and has held a broker’s license from the State of California Bureau of Real Estate since 1994.
Ms. Welch and her husband have lived in the northwest area of Escondido since 1986. She is the mother of two daughters and son, and the grandmother of three.
