Water agencies throughout the state are required by the California Department of Water Resources to prepare Urban Water Management Plans every five years to show that adequate water supplies are available to meet existing and future water demands. Rincon’s 2020 UWMP update is currently under development and must be submitted to DWR by July 1, 2021. A draft will be made available for public review on this website in the coming weeks.
A public hearing will be held on May 25, 2021 at 5:00PM. The hearing will discuss:
- 2020 UWMP
- 2020 Water Shortage Contingency Plan
Rincon welcomes public input as it prepares its draft 2020 UWMP update. If you wish to provide comments on the 2020 UWMP update, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rincon’s last UWMP update was completed in 2015. The 2015 UWMP demonstrates water supply reliability over the next 25 years in conjunction with regional plans developed by the San Diego County Water Authority and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
